If you are moving into the area, we can help you with
information on school systems and the cities that make up Hampton Roads.
Since 1983, Hampton Roads has been recognized by the U.S. Office of
Management and Budget as a group of communities having economic and
social integration. Hampton Roads' population of 1.5 million residents,
is not confined to one city, but is spread among several growing cities
of significant size. Therefore, Hampton Roads has come to refer to the
entire metropolitan area. South Hampton Roads is comprised of
Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk and Virginia Beach.
